The Libertarian Party of Tennessee

 The LPTN Supports our Troops

holding vigil, 24 hours a day

War, whether justified or not, is never an easy experience for anyone. That is why the Libertarian Party of Tennessee asks that you keep these brave members of the armed forces of these United States of America in your thoughts and prayers.

As you view the names and photos of these mothers and fathers, sons and daughters, husbands and wives, brothers and sisters, please keep in mind that these faces have loved ones in your neighborhood, and both warrior and family have to endure the uncertainty of war.

Pray for their safe and speedy return. Pray for their families and friends.

Pray for peace and Liberty.

Pro libertate, Ray Ledford, LPTN Chair

Brett Cathey

This is my son Brett, Lance Corporal in the US Marines. He has been in Kuwait since early last month. He of course joined of his own free will, before 9-11, and they go where they are sent. But I think it should be a rare thing to send our troops to fight out of this country. Defend her here, always. Attack? it must be a VERY clear danger. And only after all other alternatives have been exhausted.

As Bush spoke tonight, I sat and cried, not only out of fear for his safety, but out of worry for my 13 year old son, who if the war without end continues will no doubt be subject to a new draft, and for everyone else who will be in harms way. That includes innocent life in Iraq and here at home, who I think will now be subject to retaliation because of this war.

Jay Wright and Ken Dwyer

added by: Jonathan Wright

I have two relatives in the military, my cousin Jay, and a cousin-in-law Ken. Ken is a veteran of operation Anaconda in Afghanistan and was an Airborne Ranger Captain in the 101st. Jay is a Lieutenant in the Navy and also a veteran of Afghanistan.

Luckily neither has been sent to Iraq yet -- here's to hoping that doesn't change.

Thomas D. Ford

added by: Howard Ford

My son Tom is a Staff Sergeant in Motor "T" and is currently serving in Iraq. I believe I now have some idea how my father felt while I was in Viet Nam.

Tom is proud to be a Marine and leaves his Loving wife Vicki and 3 children at home to wait and worry.

Our prayers are with him and all our troops and their families.

Alison Love

added by: Rod Smith

My sister, Alison, is a Staff Sergeant in U.S. Army based out of Ft. Rucker Alabama. She is very proud to be a part of the service, and has only been enlisted about a year and a half. She has not yet been deployed to the gulf, but tells me (all she can) "soon" . She leaves behind my two young nephews and my niece with her husband and the rest of my family.

May God be with all our service men and women, and all the innocent people, much like us, just trying to live their lives in Iraq.

Rosemary Hanson

added by: Maxwell Hanson

My cousin Rosemary, is in Iraq as of now, and has been for the past few weeks. Although fortunately she hasn't been near any of the serious fighting, its still heartbreaking to think that she must be over there where trouble is literally a stones throw away.

We all hope she will return home safely, and stay out of harms way.
